Organising a maintenance programme

From the asset register to the open actions for the next visit.

Start with what is there

List the main assets, their location and the function they serve. Connect each entry with available manuals and maintenance history. Where information is missing, record the gap as an open action.

Give each activity a place in the programme

For each activity, identify its scope, the responsible party, its planned date and how completion will be recorded. Frequencies are determined by equipment instructions, installation requirements and the agreed framework.

Record activities and findings

A useful report separates completed work from findings, new requirements and items awaiting a decision. The next visit begins with the outstanding actions from the previous one.

A practical starting checklist

Selections stay on this page only and are not saved. The checklist does not certify an installation.
